For the first time in KooKoo - meet the artist Reut Dafna. Lives and creates in Kibbutz Maoz Haim in Emek Hama'ayanot. A successful and well-known Israeli artist thanks to her huge drawings of children. The main technique of her works is drawing - the drawing is created by charcoal powder using brushes, a technique that allows her to fill large areas, gradually, layer upon layer of charcoal to create smooth color transitions and different textures. This allows the figure to become a living object, bursting out of the flat paper as if coming to life.
Reut, the student of Eli Shamir, was chosen as the best-known and most successful artist at the recent Fresh Color Fair. Since then, her works have been stolen by many art collectors, in Israel and around the world. Reut exhibits in many group exhibitions and at various fairs and all her works are sold - people cannot resist the unique technique of charcoal powder and the Israeli family painting - kibbutzi.
