Oil on canvas 45/35 cm signed For the first time in KooKoo, Meet the artist Rotem Orenstein (36 years old), who exhibited at the artists' incubator of the last fresh color art fair. Rotem lives and works in Tel Aviv. Graduated from art studies, Minshar College 2019. Studied privately with Ilya Gefter and now studies with Amit Cabessa. When he reached the stage where he chooses what he is going to study, he was afraid to study art because it is a problematic field in terms of securing an income, so he went to study economics. During his studies he felt emptiness and meaninglessness and enrolled in art studies at Minshar at the same time as studying economics. Today he is an analyst at a recognized bank in Israel, which allows him to develop artistically at his own pace. ”It's hard for me to define what motivates me in painting because it changes.  In the beginning, I really wanted to paint to convey a personal emotion in order to get comfort from the viewer and in the process I realized that it was forced and not as sincere as I wanted. After that I started drawing things from everyday life, I found elusive but simple moments and focused on them.  Today I am in a deeper search for what painting is and what is important to me in it. I know that it ranges between my inner world and my outer world and goes out onto the canvas with brushstrokes of paint on material and shows the relationship between me and the subject.''
