"I'm not sure I love this planet" 2025
For the Third time at KooKoo and after her great success in the last Auction - welcome the young painter Tom Fima!
Tom (b. 1996) figurative painter, creates mainly in the medium of oil paints. Tom studied art at Tel Aviv University, after which she continued to study curation at the Israeli Art House and to study realistic painting at the Art Academy in Barcelona. In the last month she returned to Israel and this is the first time she sells and presents her works in public. Today she lives and creates in Haifa.
During her stay in Spain, she fell in love with the Spanish impressionist painters (Soroya, Ramon Casas) and their love for painting women in elegant but natural poses, much of the time desperate or tired.
From there, she began to put herself in the shoes of those models and tries to imitate their mentors.
Combining the studies of realistic painting techniques, together with her love for impressionist art, makes the line of painting more loose. Tom goes back and looks for movement in the painting, and constantly strives to build and destroy the painting so that there are parts of the painting that remain very realistic, and there are parts that the viewer's eye has to complete.
