Ofri Marom - Thorn in the landscape, 2016. Oil on wood framed 40/39 cm signed Ofri Marom (1966) was born in Kibbutz Hazor. She studied art at the Avni Institute in the years 1992-1994 and studied at the studio of Tzivi Geva in Tel Aviv in the years 1997-1998. Her paintings were shown in solo and group exhibitions starting in 1998. Photographs of her works are often published in the issues of the magazine ”Bitaun Shira”. Her paintings are in public and private collections in Israel and abroad, including the Uri Brands Collection, the Oren Shatz Collection, the Bank Leumi Collection, the Haim Stenger Collection, the Yifat Gurion Collection, the Lotan Teitler Collection, the Rosenheimer Family Collection, the Ada Karmi Collection, the Ami and Gabi Brown Collection, the Reli Vanurit Leshem Collection, the Carlton Tel Aviv Hotel Collection. Marom lives in Kfar Saba and paints landscapes from her urban surroundings. She often paints buildings that are under construction, and paints fields and trees that appear on roadsides or as part of the landscape, using oil paints on canvas or masonite. In addition to this, she paints items taken from the natural world (birds, sparrows, etc.), using various techniques, including watercolors on paper.
