The children look directly at the viewer — a serious, sober, courageous and penetrating gaze. The gaze does not correspond to their age, but belongs to a new reality in which their innocence is taken from them and requires them to undergo survival tests. They don't run away from the world around them, they face it and radiate courage. Through their eyes, I seek to present childhood as a tense state of consciousness that requires accelerated maturation.''
