Her architectural background is clearly evident: every object is carefully placed, every space is calculated, and every surface carries weight. Her painting does not seek to impress but to linger. There is a deliberate slowness to it, a long, almost meditative observation. She chooses formal minimalism - just a handful of objects - to allow the viewer to enter the space between them: into the shadow, into the gap, into what is not said. Toys, food, or familiar symbols appear in quiet but charged contexts—sometimes hinting at relationships, identity, the passing of time. There is no loud statement here, but a precise whisper. Ruta does not “describe” objects—she listens to them.
