Tamar Simon - Untitled, 2017. Tamar Simon is an outstanding Israeli artist, a quality draughtsman of exceptional quality, her latest exhibition ''Without a Base'' at the Petah Tikva Museum revealed her magnificent and large ballpoint pen drawings to the general public who were privileged to enjoy such a rare pleasure. Her works are rare and difficult to obtain, those who own Simon's work usually own several of her works. Pastel on framed paper 30/21 cm Signed Tamar Simon (1979), lives and works in Tel Aviv. She studied at the Art School and with David Nipo. Simon paints hybrids of different figures in a laborious and unique technique. She draws theatrical scenes and portraits with a ballpoint pen. Her figures are often a hybrid of several faces, some from sculptures, some self-portraits. In the year of Corona, she exhibited portraits of immigrants at the Fresh Paint artists' incubator. In 2024, she presented a solo exhibition at the Petah Tikva Museum.
