Early Production Stevens ”Favorite” Model 1894 Heavy Barrel Single-Shot Boys .22 Caliber Rifle - Early Production Stevens ”Favorite” Model 1894 Heavy Barrel Single-Shot Boys .22 Caliber Rifle. The Model Stevens Model 1894 Single-Shot Rifle is in nice used condition. The heavy 1/2 octagon 1/2 round barrel measures 22.5 inches in length. The bore is clear with visible rifling grooves. The wood stock is in nice used condition with normal wear. The stock still retains metal recoil plate. The metal finish is brown patina that has been oiled. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation and front is original brass. The lock-up is not tight and hammer and lever fall which can be dangerous but can be repaired. Antique ”boys' rifles” from this era were engineered for low-pressure black powder or early smokeless rimfire ammunition. Do not fire modern ammunition in this firearm. SN: 7315.
