Framed in a richly decorated gilded, classic frame. An atmospheric winter scene by Władysław Chmieliński – one of the most outstanding Polish genre painters of the 20th century. The painting depicts a sleigh ride – a dynamic composition with horses harnessed to a sleigh, racing through a snow-covered village. The composition is vibrant with movement, color, and light, while the distinct brushstrokes lend a lively expression to the whole. Chmieliński was a master of realistic landscapes and genre scenes, often inspired by the Masovian countryside and everyday life. He conveyed the atmosphere of a bustling city and a nostalgic countryside with equal ease. The painting is in excellent condition, framed in a representative frame, ready for collector's display.
