[HISTORY] - Louis Blanc: A Socialist and a Crate of Wine – Duty Paid - BLANC Louis - Autograph letter signed, dated “Paris 21 Novembre 1874” by the French socialist politician, journalist and historian. Following the Revolution of 1848, Blanc became a member of the provisional government and began advocating for cooperatives which would be initially aided by the government but ultimately controlled by the workers themselves. Blanc addresses some gentlemen: “…J’ai l’honneur de vous informer que je suis pret a acquitter les droit d’octroi sur la caisse de vin qui vous a ete adressee pour mon compte…”. 1 p. In-4.
