[HISTORY] - “CHE GUEVARA AND REVOLUTIONARY JUSTICE IN CUBA” - GUEVARA Ernesto “Che” - Document signed “Che”, dated “4 JUL 1963” by Argentine revolutionary, guerrilla, writer, politician, and physician. Che Guevara joined the July 26th Movement of the Cuban revolutionaries Raul and Fidel Castro after meeting them in 1955, becoming not only a military commander but also an intellectual, spiritual, and tactical leader. He was appointed Minister of Industry in 1961, and in this role, he attempted to industrialize and centralize the Cuban economy while redistributing labor and emphasizing agricultural production. The document pertains to the judicial hearing of an unidentified worker who ”has appeared to give a free statement to the Sr Chief of the National Police so that by a member of the body he will be conducted and presented in this court to a first hearing.” Countersigned by the Municipal Judge in Western Havana Oscar Pina Hernandez.
