Saint-Simon once again attempts to let the government know that his position is totally loyalist. - SAINT-SIMON Claude-Henri de - Very important autograph letter signed, (31 December 1813), by the French political theorist, whose thought had a substantial influence on politics, economics, sociology and the philosophy of science. He was a younger relative of the famous memoirist the Duc de Saint-Simon. Saint-Simon addresses a baron: “...je manque de tout, le désespoir me gagne, ma position est réellement insupportable. Recevez, je vous prie, la declaration formelle de l’intention dans laquelle je suis de renoncer a toute direction litteraire qui ne serait point agréable au gouvernement...”.. 1⁄2 p. In-4.
