Alexander Achillinus (1463–1525), known as the “philosopher of Bologna, ” was one of the most celebrated Aristotelians of his age and an early contributor to anatomical science. His Expositio exemplifies the transition from scholastic commentary to a more humanistic approach to natural philosophy. A complete copy, in excellent condition, crisp and wide-margined.
