[HISTORY] - Napoleonic Italy: Blank Royal Navigation Permit on Parchment - Copper-engraved diploma printed on parchment, a navigation permit for a ship, issued by the King of Italy (Napoleon) during Napoleon's rule in Italy (1805–1814). This document, left blank and unfilled, authorized the ship for which it was issued to enjoy navigation rights, being able to fly the Italian flag, and was subject to related obligations, such as laws, customs, taxes, etc. 435x390 mm., in fine condition.
