Vignolle announces that “a General Staff officer is going to the Colonels of the 9th, 35th, 84th, and 92nd Line Regiments ...to deliver to them in person and without any ceremony the Eagles sent from Mure. The same officer will have the honor of delivering to you two dispatches from General MARCOGNET, whose arrival is expected tonight. The 4th Division will set out to carry out the following orders: 3 battalions with 25 chasseurs and 3 guns will move on Neumarkt... The general officer in charge of marching on the point must attack the enemy... seize this town and take up position there... another 3 battalions with 200 horses will move to the road to Kranisbourg and take up position on this side of the ravine... one of these battalions and the 200 horses may be sent to Nakloo to liaise... on the left with the column that will attack Neumarkt... The infantry and artillery of the Royal Guard will remain at Asling and Perbaum... The Cavalry of the Royal Guard will accompany His Imperial Highness to Kranisbourg.
