[VARIOUS AUTOGRAPHS, LETTERS, & DOCUMENTS] - PABLO PICASSO (1881–1973) - Signed Photograph of the Artist with a Monumental Sculpted Head - PABLO PICASSO (1881–1973) Signed Photograph of the Artist with a Monumental Sculpted Head Vintage gelatin silver photograph depicting Picasso in an interior beside a monumental sculpted head, signed “Picasso” in ink on the image. Photographer’s studio stamp on the verso: “Studio A. Hemery, 19, Av. Docteur-Dautheville, Juan-les-Pins (A.-M.)”; additionally inscribed in pencil on the verso, apparently “Donné par Marion / octobre 1958”. A striking photographic portrait, juxtaposing Picasso with the imposing sculpted head beside him. Artist and sculpture dominate the composition, creating an unusually direct visual dialogue between Picasso and his work. The stamp of Studio A. Hemery, Juan-les-Pins, firmly associates the photograph with the Côte d’Azur milieu in which Picasso lived and worked during this period, while the inscription dated October 1958 provides an early indication of the photograph’s early provenance history. An evocative signed portrait of Picasso with one of his sculptures, preserved with the photographer’s studio stamp and a contemporary inscription dated October 1958. One item: vintage gelatin silver photograph, signed “Picasso” in ink on the image; photographer’s stamp and pencil inscription on verso.
