Volume I covers the First Sunday of Advent through Ash Wednesday and carries a 1947 copyright by A.S.B.L. Abbaye de St. André, Bruges, Belgium. It was printed in the United States by R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company of Chicago and Crawfordsville, Indiana, giving the set an additional Indiana publishing connection. The volume also contains the Church approvals associated with its publication, including a 1950 Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur, as well as a handwritten presentation inscription reading “To Charlie from Birdie” dated 12-25-51.
