Copy of the Chortkover Rebbe.
Classic philosophical work by R. Yehuda HaLevi, with the first edition of the Kol Yehuda commentary by R. Yehuda Moscato.
The Kuzari is one of the most famous works of R. Yehuda HaLevi, the medieval Spanish Jewish scholar and poet, completed around 1140. Originally written in Arabic, it was then translated into Hebrew and is one the most fundamental and important works of Jewish philosophy.
R. Yehuda Moscato (1535-1590), served as Rav of Mantua and was one of the most influential rabbinical figures in Italy. His comprehensive commentary on the Kuzari (published posthumously) was received to great acclaim and has since been printed in almost every edition of the Kuzari.
With stamps of R. Shlomo Friedman of Chortkov (1894-1959), son and successor of R. Nochum Mordechai Friedman of Chortkov and grandson of R. Yisroel of Chortkov.
