Elazar of Worms, The Sefer HaRokeach had an enormous influence on practical Halachah and Minhag, in particular on the subjects of Tefillah and Yamim Tovim. The Chida writes in Shem HaGedolim that the Yesod HaTeshuvah of The Rokeach was passed down through the generations “Halachah L’Moshe M’Sinai”. The Bnei Yissaschar writes that the words of The Rokeach “are Divrei Kabbalah received from Eliyahu Ha’Navi” (Bnei Yissaschar Chanukah 2:2). R. Elazar of Worms (circa 1176-1238), was a talmid of R.
