Shlomo Lipschitz, Chazzan of the renowned community of Metz. The first part of the sefer discusses at length various Halachos and minhagim pertaining to Chazanim and Ba’alei Tefillah. The second part of the sefer has Novella on different topics. R. Shlomo Lipschitz (1675-1758) was a Talmid of R. Dovid Oppenheim of Prague. He served as Chazan in the renowned communities of Prague and Metz. He was extremely highly regarded as an exemplar of a Chazan/Ba’al Tefillah, who in addition to his proficiency as a Chazan was also a Talmid Chochom and Yerei Shamayim. He descended from a line of distinguished Chazanim. The mother of The Chasam Sofer “Raizel HaTzadekes” was also descended from the same family of Chazanim/Ba’alei Tefillah.
