Akiva Kornitzer of Cracow, photographs of Beis Yaakov classes, as well as a photograph of the groundbreaking ceremony for the seminary in Cracow showing R. Kornitzer, R. Levin and other dignitaries.
Included is a comprehensive list of the teachers in the Bais Yaakov movement as well as a list of worldwide representatives of Bais Yaakov.
Sorah Schenirer (1883-1935), was a pioneer of Jewish education for girls and initiated the system of organized Jewish education for girls “Bais Yaakov”. Founded in 1917 with a few students, by the eve of the Holocaust there were about 250 schools established with over 40,000 students. Her influence and contribution to Torah true Judaism is immeasurable and her educational system and teachings live on.
