Cwei Un Cwancig - Ka Tsetnik - Warsaw, 1931
Poetry book written by Yehiel Feiner (Dinur), known under the pen name Ka Tsetnik. Illustrated by the Artist Yitzchak Broyner. The book was published when Dinur was 22 years old in Warsaw, many years before he was recognized as one of the most important Holocaust writers.
After the war, Dinur systematically destroyed all copies he could find of the book, including the copies held in the Congress Library of the United States and the National Library in Jerusalem. The burnt last copy was sent to the manager of the library in Jerusalem, to prove that it had been destroyed. Dinur explained his actions saying the book belonged to a world that no longer exist, a world that had been burnt. Because of the systematic destruction, the book is extremely rare.
62 pages. Approximately 11X18 cm. Missing the leaf with the portrait of the author. Average condition, stains, creases, tears to front wrapper, loose front wrapper, missing staples, wear.
