Set for coffee - Armenian Pottery - Palestine - Set for coffee or tea including 4 plates, 4 cup and a pitcher for milk. Armenian ceramics. Painted and glazed clay. Marked at the bottom. Apparently, made by the workshop of David Ohanesian. Jerusalem, Palestine, Circa the 1920s. The Armenian pottery workshop in Jerusalem was founded in 1919, at the end of WWI, when the British invited the iznik master potter David Ohannessian to help with the restoration of the tiles of the Dome of the rock mosque in Jerusalem. The workshop produced ceramics in the traditional Iznik style. Diameter of the plates: approximately 15 cm. Good condition, chips, wear. * All lots in this auction are located in South Carolina.
