Travel Journal - Middle East - ENSA, British Army, WW2 - Detailed travel journal of Dorothy Adler (later Dorothy Turner), a young woman enlisted to the ENSA (the Entertainments National Service Association) during World War II - primarily in the Middle East, especially Egypt, and Palestine and South Africa. The journal includes numerous documents, among them military papers marked secret, as well as train and ship tickets, postal items, labels, business cards, stamps, photographs, menus, hotel materials, receipts, and programs from theatre performances and cultural events. Approximately 60 fully filled pages. Circa the 1940s. Condition of the documents varies; wear.
