Photos of Kaiser Wilhelm Journey to Palestine 1898 - Two complete sets of six cards each (twelve cards in total), featuring photographs from Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany’s journey to Palestine in 1898. Each card bears a photograph from the emperor’s visit with a brief caption in German, and on the reverse, a detailed description. Six cards depict scenes from Jerusalem, while the others portray moments from Haifa, Bethlehem, Damascus, and Constantinople. During the journey, which took place in the autumn of 1898, the Kaiser visited the Ottoman Empire and the cities of Constantinople, Haifa, Jaffa, Jerusalem, Damascus, and Beirut, and also met Theodor Herzl. Approximately 5x9 cm. Good condition, stains, creases, wear.
