French Model 1866 Military Chasspot Bayonet
A curve yataghan shaped steel blade with a brass-hilt and iron cross-guard. Fitted for a Chasspot needle-fire rifle.
Weight: 1.4lbs. Measurement from point to pommel: 27.5in x 4in. Measurement of the blade: 22.5in x 1.15in 'P 78467' and hallmarks 'T' and 'B' on the cross-guard. 'Mre d'Armes de St Etienne Mars 1873' and '7' engraved on the side of the blade.
