Original antique hand-colored engraving on paper by Robert Thew after the Neo-Classical original painting by Royal Academician John Opie (British 1758-1802.) Based on Shakespeare's Timon of Athens, this engraving was published by J & J Boydell for the renowned Shakspeare (sic) Gallery on Pall Mall in 1799. On lower left: Painted by John Opie R.A. On lower right: Engraved by Rob Thew Engraver to H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. Housed in a gilded frame with a black color glass border and a light green linen mat. Sight size: 24"W x 20"H.
