Guiraud Riviere, Art Deco Bronze Footballer Statue, Signed
This antique lost-wax cast bronze statue of a Footballer is by French Art Deco artist Maurice Guiraud Riviere. He depicts the sportsman who has just kicked the ball with his leg fully extended and two outstretched arms. Riviere sculpted outstanding realistic details and the patina has a rich warm brown finish. The sculpture is attached to a bronze base with Maurice Guiraud Riviere's carved signature on its front and the French foundry stamp: Cire Perdue, Paris.
