His collection reflects his interest in the Delaware Valley, with an emphasis on mid 18th through early 19th century silversmiths and figured hardwoods vetted by his discerning eye for form and surface. Among the highlights are a Thomas Stretch Philadelphia clock, a collection of figured maple furniture, and silver by noted makers such as Joseph Richardson Sr. and Richard Humphreys.

A Bucks County, Pennsylvania Folk Art Ink and Watercolor Fraktur, Leidy School, Hilltown, Dated 1862. Decorated with a pair of birds and trees and inscribed beneath, "LEIDY SCHOOL / HILLTOWN / Bucks County, Pennsylvania / 1862". In a 19th century tiger maple rectangular frame.

Dimensions: Sheet 8 1/2 x 7 3/4in; Frame 12 1/2 x 10 1/2in.

Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.


Condition:

Framed and glazed. Examined out of the frame. Typical wear, fading, discoloration and toning to the paper. The frame in generally good condition overall.
