Pennsylvania Chippendale Mahogany Pembroke Table
A Pennsylvania Chippendale Figured Mahogany Pembroke Table, Fourth Quarter 18th Century. Each having a rectangular top with hinged drop leaves above a molded frieze to either end, fitted with a single dovetailed drawer with beading, raised on Marlborough legs with inner chamfering, joined by a X-Stretcher. Tulip poplar and pine secondary wood and mahogany flying rails.
Dimensions: Height 28 1/4in; width closed 20 1/2in; width open 39in; depth 28 3/4in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition:
Structurally sound. Retaining an old surface with warm color. General marks, wear, abrasions and surface scratches throughout. Old repairs to the beading on drawing. No key.
