Empire Gilt and Patinated Bronze Mantel Clock
An Empire Gilt and Patinated Bronze Mantel Clock, First Quarter 19th Century. Having a 5-inch silvered dial with Roman numerals, the twin train movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel striking on a bell, the backplate.
Dimensions: Height 15 3/4in; width 9 1/4in; depth 5in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of Lisa and John DeBella.
Condition:
The Bronze is nicely cast. General marks, scratches, rubbing and wear overall. The clock is currently maintaining power, however the silk suspension is is torn. The clock's movement is probably later added. With pendulum and winding key. We cannot guarantee the completeness or functionality of the clocks's movement.
