A French Patinated Bronze Animalier Group: Chasse a la Perdrix, After the Model by Pierre-Jules Mene (1810-1879), 19th Century. Depicting two sporting dogs hunting a game bird. Incised 'P.J. MENE. 1847.' to the base. Raised on a conforming ebonized wood base.
Dimensions: Height of bronze 8 3/4in; width 16 1/4in; depth 8in.
Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection.
Condition:
The bronze group in overall good condition, general marks, rubbing, scratches and wear. Dust accumulation to crevices. Wear, nicks and small losses to the ebonized base.
