Published in Boston for David Pulsifer 1881, 'Washington' by Joseph Dillaway Sawyer published by MacMillan 1927, 'The Life of George Washington volume II by John Marshall (1925 edition), 'Atlas to Marshall's Life of Washington' published by J. Crissy circa 1805, and 'The Life of George Washington' by John Marshall published in Philadelphia by C. P. Wayne 1804 in five volumes.
Dimensions: from 7 1/2" x 5" to 9 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Provenance: Mary G. Roebling (1995-1994), Trenton, New Jersey. Acquired from above by present owner.
Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection.
Footnote: Mary G. Roebling (New Jersey, 1905-1994) was the first woman to serve as the head of a major commercial bank in the United States when she became president of the Trenton Trust in 1937.
Condition:
Overall good condition with expected wear and minor losses. Atlas has been rebound but the lot includes the original binding.
