A Three Gallon Pennsylvania Cobalt Blue Stencil Decorated Salt Glazed Stoneware Jar, A. Conrad, Monongahela Pottery, New Geneva, Circa 1875. The cylindrical jar with semi-rounded rim above a tooled shoulder and applied lug handles to either side, the stencil decoration inscribed, "A. CONRAD / MONONGAHELA / POTTERY. / NEW GENEVA / PA" above a large "3". Having an Albany slip interior.
Dimensions: Height 13 1/2in; diameter 9in.
Provenance: Property from a Buck County, Pennsylvania Private Collection.
Condition:
Typical wear and discoloration from the kiln overall. Imperfections from manufacture throughout.
