A George II Style Carved Mahogany Needlework Upholstered Armchair, 19th Century - A George II Style Carved Mahogany Needlework Upholstered Armchair, 19th Century The rectangular back with shaped crest, over outswept arms with acanthus carved terminals and supports, over a trapezoidal seat, raised on heavily cabriole front legs with foliates, scrolls and ribbons to the knees and returns, ending in acanthus carved club feet to the front and rear. Dimensions: Height 39in; width 30in; depth of seat 22 1/2in; seat height 18in. Condition: Structurally sound. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches overall. The needlepoint upholstery with heavy wear, fading, tears and losses throughout. Toning and discoloration to the brass tacks overall.
