French Bronze and Black Slate Figural Mantel Clock, Retailed by Mansfield & Baird - A French Patinated Bronze and Black Slate Figural Mantel Clock, Retailed by Mansfield & Baird, Philadelphia, Third Quarter 19th Century The case surmounted by a seated model of 'Diana the Huntress'. The circular black slate dial having gilded Roman numerals, inscribed to the center 'MANSFIELD & BAIRD / PHILADELPHIA', having a twin train striking movement, with Japy Freres pastille, the backplate and case each numbered '1134'. Dimensions: Height 24 1/2in; width 18 1/4in; depth 8 1/2in. Condition: Wear and rubbing back to bronze, especially to high points. The slate with minor nicks and fleabites along edges and corners. Dust accumulation throughout to crevices of bronze casting. Lacking bell to the movement. Lacking glass to bezel on reverse of case. With winding key and pendulum. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clock's movement.
