Nikolai Iwanowitsch Lieberich (1828 - 1883) Russian Bronze Bear - Nikolai Iwanowitsch Lieberich (1828 - 1883) Russian Bronze Bear  A large bronze depicting the standing bear “Lisinsky”. The bear is mounted upon a natural stone base which bears a plaque that reads, 'Presented to the Union League of Brooklyn by the Twenty Second Regiment N.G. N.Y. in acknowledgment of the courtesies extended to the Regiment during the Trolley Strike if January 1895'. Cast at the C.F. Woerffel , St. Petersbourg foundry circa 1895. Unmarked, but guaranteed to be an authentic bronze of the period.    Dimensions: the bear is 21 1.2in tall, the overall height is 28 1/2in.  Condition: Good condition with expected wear and areas of verdigris. The bolts that keep the bear in place have been cut and will need to be replaced.
