Regency Inlaid Amboyna Tea Caddy, First Quarter 19th Century - A Regency Inlaid Amboyna Tea Caddy, First Quarter 19th Century Sarcophagus form, the hinged lid enclosing a fitted interior with two lidded caddies and central cut-out with cut glass waste bowl, pressed brass and ring handles to either side, raised on small cast paw feet with acanthus returns. Dimensions: Height 9in; width 12 1/4in; depth 6 1/4in. Provenance: Property from a Local Collection. Condition: Structurally sound. In an overall restored condition. Minor small losses and movement to inlays and veneer. The cut glass waste bowl has glued repairs throughout. The cast feet are slightly loose and need reinforcement with small nails. The lid does not completely shut flush. No key.
