Victorian Papier Mache and Carved Mahogany Revolving Harpist's Stool - A Victorian Papier Mache and Carved Mahogany Revolving Harpist's Stool, 19th Century The lacquered papier mache shell form seat with central shell motif to the front of seat above a mahogany base, raised on acanthus carved cabriole legs, joined by stretchers to a central carved columnar support. Dimensions: Height 27 1/2in; width 18in; depth 20in. Provenance: From a Local Collection.  Condition: Structurally sound. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and small losses. The lacquered papier mache surface with craquelure throughout, otherwise in generally good condition overall.
