George II Walnut Console Table, Incorporating Antique and Later Elements - A George II Inlaid Walnut Console Table, Incorporating Antique and Later Elements Of generous proportions, probably formerly having a marble top. The crossbanded and featherbanded rectangular top with book matched veneers above a molded frieze, raised on cabriole legs with acanthus carved knees, ending in pad feet. Dimensions: Height 31 1/2in; width 60in; depth 28 1/4in. Provenance: From a Philadelphia Estate. Condition: Structurally sound. The surface with heavy wear, fading to finish and sun bleaching overall. Each of the four legs have been cut with extensive old spliced repairs/restoration. Each leg has been cut 6” above the bottom of the current feet. The top appears to be an old replacement
