Samson Porcelain Armorial Part Dinner Service in the Chinese Export Taste - A French (Samson) Porcelain Armorial Part Dinner Service in the Chinese Export Taste, Late 19th Century Comprising: a coffeepot; teapot; covered sugar; cream jug,  wastebowl; three 10 1/2in scalloped dinner plates; three 9 1/2in soup plates; four 8in plates; ten 5 3/4in saucers; four teacups; four pots de creme; and four demitasse cups. (37) Dimensions: Height of coffeepot 9 1/4in; Height of teapot 6 3/4in; Height of sugar 6in; Height of cream jug 5 1/2in; diameter of wastebowl 6 1/4in; Diameter of teacups 3 1/2in; Height of pots de creme 4in; Height of demitasse 2 1/4in. Provenance: From a Philadelphia Estate. Condition: The body of the sugar bowl has a crack with associated small chip. Otherwise in generally good condition overall. Typical wear and rubbing to decoration from stacking and handling.
