Two Memorial Race Horse Inkwells, Including a Hoof of ”Fair Play” - Two sterling silver mounted horse hoof inkwells done by Roland Ward Ltd., London both with similar mounting, one with lid the other open. One the hoof of ”Fair Play / 1905 - 1929 / Champion Sire / Sons & Daughters Won / In Excess of $2.750.000.” the other the hoof of ”Mr. J. Widener's / ”Seminole” / Winner of Cesarewitch / 1933.”   Dimensions:  both are around H 3 1/2”, L 5”  Provenance:  From a Philadelphia estate. Condition: Good condition, both have some missing nails in the mounting.
