Mid-Atlantic Federal Inlaid Cherry Tall Chest of Drawers, Early 19th Century - A Mid-Atlantic Federal Inlaid and Mahogany Crossbanded Cherry Tall Chest of Drawers, Early 19th Century The rectangular molded top above an inlaid frieze, three short drawers over five long graduated drawers and inlaid base, each drawer with string inlay and cockbeading, flanked by undulating line inlay ending in bellflowers to either stile on the front of case, raised on 'French' slightly flared feet. The top left and right drawer with 'Quaker' spring locks. Tulip poplar, yellow pine, walnut and oak secondary woods. Dimensions: Height 66in; width 46 1/2in; depth 23 3/4in; case width 42 1/4in. Condition: Structurally sound. In an overall good restored condition. Typical marks, wear, nicks, abrasions, surface scratches and small losses. Minor small patches and repairs to moldings throughout. Shrinkage and age cracks throughout. The feet are replaced. The brass hardware is replaced.  The drawers have secondary drilled holes to fronts. With key.
