New England Chippendale Cherry Slant Front Desk, Fourth Quarter 18th Century - A New England Chippendale Cherry Slant Front Desk, Fourth Quarter 18th Century The hinged thumb molded fall with breadboard ends,  enclosing an interior fitted with two central fan carved drawers, flanked by four valanced pigeon holes above two and three drawers below, all above four graduated drawers and molded base, raised on blind dovetailed bracket feet. Pine secondary wood. Dimensions: Height 42in; width 40 3/4in; depth 18 3/4in. Condition: Structurally sound. Retaining an old refinish. General marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches. Repair to lip molding along top edge of fall. Some of the brass hardware is replaced, no secondary holes to drawer fronts. No key.
