Imposing American Classical Parcel Gilt and Ebonized Cherry Wall Clock - An Imposing American Classical Parcel Gilt and Ebonized Cherry Wall Clock, Second Quarter 19th Century The 14 7/8-inch white-painted dial with Roman Hours and Arabic minutes, having a subsidiary seconds dial, the eight-day weight driven brass twin train movement with time and rack strike, striking on a bell. Dimensions: Height 52in; width 22 1/4in; depth 7 1/2in. Provenance: Purchased with Richard N. Don, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, January 19, 1980. Condition: The clock case retaining its original dry surface. Craquelure, wear and rubbing to the finish and painted surface overall. The painted dial with craquelure, flaking and minor small losses throughout. The lower eglomise table with cracks. The mirrored tablet with scattered wear and loss to silvering. With two weights, pendulum and winding crank. At the time the condition report was conducted, the clock was maintaining power. We cannot guarantee the completeness or functionality of the clock's movement.
