American Painted and Punched Tin Food / Pie Safe, 19th Century and Later - An American Country Painted Softwood Punched Tin Food / Pie Safe, 19th Century and Later The rectangular top above two hinged paneled doors fitted with three punched tins each, enclosing a shelved interior, having three punched tins to either paneled side, over a dovetailed drawer and a pair of paneled cupboards below, raised on square legs. The twelve punched tins with a five-point stars and triangles about a central large five-point star. Dimensions: Height 71 12in; width 39 1/2in; depth 16 1/2in. Provenance: From a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Collection.  Condition: Later grain painted. Intentional distressing and rubbing back to the surface overall. Staining to some elements to simulate age and oxidation. Punched tins possibly replaced. Structurally sound.
