After Ben Austrian (Pennsylvania, 1870-1921) Chick and Egg, Oil on Canvas - After Ben Austrian (Berks County, Pennsylvania, 1870-1921) Chick and Egg, oil on canvas, bearing a spurious signature lower right. In a parcel gilt and ebonized, walnut frame. Dimensions: Canvas 8 x 10in; Frame 12 1/2 x 14 1/2in. Provenance:  From a Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia Estate.  Condition: The canvas has been relined, cut and glued down onto a new piece of canvas and re-attached to the original stretcher. Under UV light there are several areas of fluorescence. Touch up to flake losses in the upper left and lower left quadrant. The most in-painting and touch-up is in the lower right quadrant where a signature has been later added and the artist's last name is misspelled.
