English Brass Mounted Mahogany Campaign Secretary Chest, 19th Century - An English Brass Mounted Mahogany Campaign Chest, Third Quarter 19th Century In two-parts, each having recessed brass hardware to the front and bail handles to either side. The upper section fitted with a hinged fall and pull-out secretary to the top drawer, all above three long drawers, raised on turned feet. Dimensions: Height 41in; width 41 1/2in; depth 19 1/4in. Provenance:  From a Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia Collection. Condition: In overall good condition. Typical marks, wear, nicks, abrasions and surface scratches throughout. The base molding is likely later added and with scattered repairs. The oak pigeon hole valance to the secretary interior is replaced. Scattered small losses and patched repairs throughout. Heavy toning and darkening to brass mounts and hardware.
