English Delftware Tin Glazed Earthenware Charger, 18th Century - An English Delftware Tin Glazed Earthenware Charger, 18th Century Decorated in the Chinese taste, centered by a serpent amongst stylized floral motifs, the rim having six reserves with similar stylized floral motifs, finished with an ochre rim. The foot rim is pierced to the underside for hanging. Dimensions: Diameter 13 1/2in. Provenance: Purchased with James M. Kilvington, Dover, Delaware. Property from a Greater Philadelphia Estate. Condition: Under UV light there is no fluorescence. Typical firing and glazing imperfections. Crazing overall. Wear, roughness and flakes to rim and foot. Stilt marks visible to reverse.
