Three Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Octagonal Plates, Qianlong Period - Three Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Octagonal Plates, Qianlong Period, Circa 1740 Each decorated with a blue pot of flowers, a blue bowl with pomegranate, and a ribbon tied bouquet of pink lotus and white water pods to the center. The borders having alternating panels of turquoise with floral and butterfly reserves and pink cellwork with bianco-sopra-bianco reserves, edged in black. Comprising a pair of plates and a charger. The pair of plates with applied label to the underside for Diane Knight, Locust Valley, New York. The charger with applied label to the underside for Matthew & Elisabeth Sharpe Antiques, purchased with Matthew & Elisabeth Sharpe Antiques, Spring Mill, Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, October 28, 1983. (3) Dimensions: Charger 13 x 13in; Pair of plates 8 1/2 x 8 1/2in. Provenance: Property from a Greater Philadelphia Estate. Condition: Examined under UV light. The charger with a restored rim chip to one corner with in-painting (resistance to touch). Minor roughness and fleabites along edges to each, otherwise typical imperfections from manufacture.
